How Much Is a Scrap Car Worth?
A scrap car’s value depends on more than whether it runs. Understanding the factors buyers consider can help you compare offers for your vehicle.
What determines a scrap car offer?
Vehicle weight and current metal prices help determine the value of a car for recycling. Reusable parts, the vehicle’s condition, and local demand can also influence what a buyer offers.
Pickup distance and access to the vehicle may affect an offer. Tell the buyer whether the car rolls, starts, or drives, and whether anything makes collection difficult.
How to get a quote for your car
Choose your state and county on FUBAR Car to find listed scrap car buyers. Share the year, make, model, location, and condition, and include a photo if available.
Ask each buyer what the offer includes, whether pickup is included, and how payment will be handled. FUBAR Car does not set purchase prices or charge sellers to use the directory.
